Steps & Sidewalks

Concrete. Stone. Brick. Safe, level, and built to code.

Steps and walkways take more abuse than almost any surface on your property, and when they crack, settle, or tilt, they go from curb appeal to liability. We build and rebuild front-entry steps, stoops, and sidewalks in concrete, natural stone, and brick.

A good set of steps is a safety feature first: consistent riser heights, treads with the right depth and pitch to shed water, and footings below frost depth so winter doesn't heave them out of level. Whether we're forming and pouring concrete steps, building brick steps on a block core, or capping with bluestone treads, that structure underneath is where the job is won.

For sidewalks and walkways, we replace broken and sunken sections or install complete new paths, graded to drain, jointed to control cracking, and finished to match or upgrade what's there. Trip hazards at the front of a house are one of the most common repairs we do, and one of the most affordable.

What Our Steps Work Covers

If it is not on the list, ask. It is usually something we handle.

New front-entry steps

Concrete, brick, or stone steps with proper footings, even risers, and water-shedding treads.

Step rebuilds & repair

Settled, cracked, or crumbling steps rebuilt from the footing up, not just patched over.

Stone treads & caps

Bluestone and natural stone treads that dress up a plain stoop instantly.

Concrete sidewalks

New walks and section replacements, graded and jointed so they stay flat.

Brick & paver walkways

Classic materials, modern base preparation, the best of both.

Trip-hazard removal

Sunken or tilted sections lifted or replaced before someone gets hurt.

Full cleanup, a final walkthrough with you, and clear guidance on care. We are not done until you are happy.

Common Questions

Can you repair just one section of sidewalk?

Yes, we saw-cut clean lines, remove the failed section, and pour back to match. You don't have to replace a whole walk for one bad slab.

My steps pulled away from the house. Is that serious?

It can be, it usually means the footing settled or water is getting underneath. Have us look at it; sometimes it's a straightforward rebuild, and catching it early keeps water out of your foundation.

Concrete, brick, or stone, which should I pick?

Concrete is the workhorse, brick matches traditional homes beautifully, and stone treads give the most upscale look. We'll price the options at your free estimate.
